No!!
No, it is not. It is quite affordable, but you have pay by cash there is not payment terminal
Some if they carry garlic, and others do not. Although you can ask that they prepare it to your liking or the sauce to part.
We ordered over 10 dishes. Each and every single dish was exceptionally delicious. They might not speak excellent English but it doesn't matter since they will ensure that you get everything that you want. Very fast service as well and welcoming staff. Will come back again!
Stopped here for a quick snack. Bombas are incredible.
Best dishes we had in Barcelona. Inexpensive but still much better than places with 2-3 times the price. Nothing had any flaw that we could point out. They make some amazing bombas for sure.
Worst experience in Barcelona. Took us 35 minutes to get a seat and once we got one we couldn't order for 25 minutes so we left. Really bad service. Also no card accepted. The food looks good but we didn't get to try.
Most awesome restaurant I've been in Barcelona! Really, the food is atypic. Don't expect the nicest of service, it's very local and it's its charm. Really recommend, especially for sea food.
I don’t know why this place hasn’t got a higher rating.. been coming here for years whenever I’m in Barcelona and it never disappoints! If you like delicious simple home made tapas like fried baby squids, batatas bravas and others this place is it! 6-7 stars!
Google where the locals eat and this place came up.By looks you might pass it by however Don't.....friendly family run real taste of Barcelona with raw brilliant sangria.Would recommend the fried little fish ( whitebait) and the grilled squid was amazing too.We will return for lunch as only here for 3 days. ....well worth the visit to absorb Catalonia food at its best and reasonably priced too. You won't be disappointed 😊 xxx
If you want to have a local resturant experience here is the best place!!!
Absolutely loved this place, it is a locals' favorite and it delivers. Gather around a group of friends and go there and order a bunch of plates to share. We got plenty of seafood, patatas bravas, pimientos but the house special Bombetas were astonishingly delicious.
One of my favourite tapas places. Even though waiting time can be long, it‘s worth it. Reasonable prices, typical Spanish atmosphere and good food. The waiters only speak Spanish but the menu is available in English. Besides, they only take cash.
An amazing local with the best food we had in Barcelona. There was not one dish we tasted and didn't like (it was 8 of us). I would really recommend going there if you're in Barcelona, they don't require reservations (we just walked in as well however it was 3 pm, so it might get busier in the evening). Prices are really cheap as well and the service is excellent.
The food and sangria is some of the best we had, the prices moderate, the staff friendly and attentive and some can even speak a bit English. Well worth the few steps from the beach-side promenade.
Just off the beaten path; great food with a little attitude.
Lovely local restaurant. A simple tapas menu, but all very delicious. Plenty of seafood choices. Recommended.
Bombas were excellent! Quite a busy place but worth the wait. The mussels and the prawns were very good as well. They don’t speak English but any local there will help you out! :) must go.
Good food. Friendly staff. Don't worry if you don't speak the language but bring cash.
Delicious local cuisine. Was very busy when we arrived but service was attentive. Ordered bombas, patatas bravas, sangría, calamares a la plancha and chorizo and peppers. Everything we ordered was flavorful and hot (in temperature). I hate cold potatoes.
Very recommended! We ate the fried boquerones the bacalao salad , the tortilla and the pulpo a la gallega. Everything was delicious. I would easily say this is the best authentic tapas restaurant I’ve tried in Barcelona. There are only 2 outside tables. One of the waiters was nice, the other not so much but all in all good service.
Prices are high enough. Dishes not so delicious
I was here on March 15, 2019, and celebrated by 77th Birthday. The owner and his staff brought me a delicious dessert with candles and sang me Happy Birthday! The whole restaurant joined in. Made me very happy as I had traveled from Dallas, Texas to Barcelona, Spain by myself to have a birthday adventure. I will always remember the kindness shown to me at La Bombeta.
Great variety of Catalonian food. Unique local atmosphere and high speed superservice. I'd like to give 6 stars.
Fantastic food especially the prawn.... Sangria was good too. The price is reasonable and I love this place
Great local place they have an amazing Bamba. Very local nobody speaks English so brush up on your Spanish 😁
Excellent place to have traditional Spanish food. Customers are not only tourists but also local people. I definitely recommend this place .
We were recommended this place by a local. It’s very much a locals local. They proudly display signs saying that they speak no English and have no Wifi! Do not let this put you off. When we arrived around 1.30pm on a Sunday there was no cues and we just about got a table. When we left around 2.45pm there were big cues outside - so get there early. The famous dish is ‘La Bomba’ which is basically like mashed potato and meat with a super spiced topping - it’s a spice bomb basically. We got a table at the back right near the kitchen and we loved just watching the speed of the kitchen and all the different dishes flooding out so fast. The food is fantastic and cheap. The waitress near us was super friendly and efficient. The waitress told us about the mushroom special which is not on the menu and it was superb. We REALLY enjoyed this bar. It’s a gem 💎
The food, the service. The atmosphere! I came in on my first day in Barcelona on a recomendation from a friend. They sat the bar high for the rest of the stay. Fresh produce, any a la plancha is a good idea. Looking forward to my next visit.
Go here. Amazing fresh seafood and a few other local delicacies for a really good price. Wait staff are cranky and only speak Spanish, so get over that before you even walk in. If you don’t speak any Spanish, bust out your google translate and you will be fine. I recommend the pitcher of Sangria de cava (sparkling white wine sangria) which isn’t overly sweet or beer to drink.
Was okay. Expectations where sky high as it was recommended as the one super duper place. As often when this is the case they where not 100 percent met. The fish was great. The salad was fresh. The squid was a bit gummy tho. All in all it's a very authentic and also not too expensive place. I think I may come back again some day.
Excellent tapas, very good atmosphere and friendly service. We had an excellent time with friends, we appreciated the advices on what to try and the taste of all the plates we had. we were lucky to arrive around 12h30, it got extremely crowded a few minutes later!
The best tapas place that we went to in Barcelona. They have a joke that they don't speak english but it's great to get out of your comfort zone and try out your spanish. The waiters are very nice about our broken spanish as well. The bombetas are a must have. Also make sure you have euros because they don't accept cards.
Good atmosphere, full of locals and they do speak a bit English. Food is tasty and for a seafood- affordable. We paid about 30 eur for plate of mussels, two plates of fish and a carafe of vine. Portions are not very big though
Delicious typical food! Definitely recommended. Friendly staff and excellent home made sangria!
Authentic tapas place in the Barcelonetta neighborhood. The variations of traditional tapas are served by friendly authentic Barcelona locals. The restaurant itself is in a mainly rustic and easy style so you get a "true" authentic tapas experience with a lot of local people.
Lovely and unpretentious tapas restaurant located in a quiet street in the very heart of Barceloneta. We tried almost all what the restaurant had on offer and everything was delicious. Prices are very reasonable and I would definitely recommend. The staff is friendly and helpful
Great ensaladilla rusa, bombas and seafood! Some waiters were a bit peculiar and fun 😊
Delicious food, dishes served fast, very local atmosphere. I loved it here and definitely recommend.
Great Spanish tapas!!! "Bombetas", fish, squid, octopus... The place is not big, so maybe you will need to wait a little time, but it worths a while. 20-30€ each person. Staff is very friendly, and dishes come out very quickly. I will come back again.
100% worth a visit, even if you need to go to a cashpoint and get some cash for it. Great, classic service. Highly recommend the croquettes with ham and the chorizo
Nice small place, just a bit from crowded street near beach. The price was good. The taste of the food is more like homemade food. They don't speak english, so you won't get help choosing your food, but they are very kind :)
Worst dining experience in Barcelona in 2020!!!One of us had prawns - they tasted just like old fish smells - prawns are not supposed to taste like that... We complained to the waiter and said that the prawns weren't fresh, but he didn't care - he just took our plates and left. When he came back, he admitted that the prawns weren't fresh, "but they taste okay..." NO THEY DIDN'T!!!! We decided not to eat the prawns but wasn't offered anything instead.... I had veal steak with vegetables... The thinnest slice of veal, i have ever seen and the vegetables were three thin slices of deep fried squash and chips - both fried in the same oil, that are used to deepfry fish, so that also had the tast of fish...They have a sign in the bar, saying they can't speak english... Well, they can't cook either... Stay away - NOT recommended!
We ended up here after a disaster at Pez Vela nearby. What a great recovery! Service was great & light hearted. Food was great and quickly service. Fair prices and solid quality. I would return again anytime. Fun. Bring cash - NO credit cards accepted. Baby squid was great.
Lovely tapas and an English speaking waiter who was really friendly. We ordered four different tapas and a jug of sangria which were all delicious. Not too busy at 6.30pm but was full by the time we left around an hour and a half later. We'll worth a visit.
Looking for a no frills, simple & inexpensive meal? La Bombeta is the perfect choice. Good location in Barceloneta and some of the best bombas in town.
Delicious and good quality/price ratio. On the downside, staff can be rude sometimes, you may have to wait a long line (no rez), and a bit cramped inside.
The bill a little bit to much but the food was amazing !!!
A traditional tapas bar with delicious tapas. We loved all dishes and the extremely nice staff. We would definitely visit again!
They don't take cards nor speak English here, which is a pet peeve of mine, since I am not smart enough to learn the language of each new country I visit, but b somehow they make it fun here and it doesn't matter. You just point at what other 🔫 people are having and it's just super delicious 😋... La Bomba or bread or fried sea foods...
Fun place with great food. They don't speak English but are friendly. They also only take cash, but worth it.
Great service, amazing food. So happy to have found this place. Thank you!
Have visited countless times, never let us down once. Fantastic tapas and sangria with a cheerful welcome.
